I had some tests done on the appearance of my 3D mesh stills printed on transparent material. I bought inkjet trasparent films size A4 and experimented on the results at home.
By editing the pieces on photoshop for each print, I tested the result that different colour levels and transparency gives. I tried this out with a variety of pieces, including images with lighter and darker colours, that give more or less transparency.
The film, especially with a lighter colours printed image, becomes really transparent and glossy when it is hit by direct light (it has an x-ray feeling). So I guess documenting the films placed outdoors will not be easy. It remains to be seen by doing some tests ourdoors.
